URSA productions is the brainchild of Henry Soleh Brewer. URSA prodctions is Henry Soleh Brewer's production company and studio name.
It stands for United Recording Stars & Artists. Soleh's vision for URSA is to cultivate creativity and talent among young and old musicians, songwriters and artists. In short, to produce a constellation of stars. URSA is also the true name of the pharaoh Ramses in dynastic Kemet.
Soleh started his career as a brass player and vocalist with the successful St. Louis area band known as Constellation. While working with dozens of singing groups in his teens, Soleh began to understand performing. It was during the early to late 70s that he shared the stage with some of R&B's greatest performers such as Gladys Knight, Lou Rawls, The Ojays and many more.
Henry Soleh Brewer also performed music for the theatre including productions of Raisin, The Wiz, Bigger Than Bubble Gum and dozens more. He has also acted in film and radio productions. He has played keyboards for the soundtracks of many films. He has provided accompaniment for actors like TK Carter, Jenifer Lewis, Tim Robbins, Sela Ward, Monica Calhoun, Meagan Goode, Jack Black, Margaret Shug Avery, Akosua Busia, Roscoe Lee Browne, Q'orianka Kilcher, and produced a 12-inch EP for actor Willard Pugh of the Color Purple.
Henry has performed with Temptations great, Dennis Edwards. Soleh Brewer has accompanied the reigning 1995 Miss Universe, Chelsi Smith at her debut vocal showcase in Hollywood. He has done performances with vocalists Leslie Wilson of New Birth and Keith Washington. Over the years Henry has been a highly sought after keyboardist. Known for his amazing and authentic ole skool sound, Henry continues to be in demand for recordings and live performances.
Henry Soleh Brewer has played in dozens of bands from St. Louis to LA for over 20 years. Soleh was the keyboard player for the world-renowned Phenix Horns band. This band has performed under the names DaMia & DaBoom, The Pharaohs, and Sam Lee bands. Soleh has been a principle musician in all of these bands.
Henry Soleh Brewer has also done live performances with members of the legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire. Most notably is his work with the band called Rhythm of the Earth featuring EWF bass player, Verdine White. Soleh has also established himself as principle keyboardist for the legendary R&B and Soul artists The Emotions and Deniece Williams.
